In hip-hop, quicker than you can say outro, interest in a style or technique can be slaughtered like sheep. Black Sheep, to be exact. But once upon a time, in the Golden Age of the Native Tongues, two Black Sheep from The Bronx had perfected the art of butt-moving in b-folk jurisdictions everywhere. Those were the days, and nights, of A Wolf in Sheeps Clothing, their only hit album. Likewise with Brooklyns sewer kids Das EFX. Though sometimes farcical, their debut Dead Serious made stuttering sound diggety diggety dope. Relying heavily on TV commercials and childhood game names in songs like "They Want EFX," which coined their style, Das was the most fun since Fun Dip. Even now, when DJs rock their classics, a plague of playfulness and joviality breaks out on the dance floor. Yet most still dont agree on what the "Das" in "Das EFX" actually means.
