Hip-Hop Hilarious

Philly 103.9’s Michael Shawn, the self-proclaimed "Puerto Rican Phenomenon," brings his Comedy Takeover to Silk City with the help of Arrakis Records kingpin Paul Muad’dib, a.k.a. PCP. Now, for those poor souls who haven’t heard Michael Shawn, please follow the instructions exactly as they appear on the box. 1. Relax for a second. 2. Tune your dial to WPHI 103.9 at 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. 3. Brace yourself for that voice, which will inevitably beg the question, "Can you feeeeeeeeeel me?" That’s Michael Shawn. The doctor’s last bit of advice: Please take the appropriate precautions and acclimate yourself to his vocal chords before attending the show. Set up like a Philly-styled Def Comedy Jam, the Takeover is bridging a gap between the funny stuff and hip-hop with beat rotation by DJ Low Budget.
