Limp Bizkits living large these days their sophomore album, Significant Other (Interscope), has sold a staggering three million copies in three months. They might be doing it all for the nookie, the nookie, but a large part of their success lies with the Korn seal of approval they got from playing the first Family Values tour last year. Festival organizers Korn, who headlined the tour in 98, are handing the crown over to Bizkit this year. While DMX and The Crystal Method are already stars in their respective genres, Filter (right), featuring Nine Inch Nails refugee Richard Patrick, may give Korn and Bizkit a run for their baggy pants in the years to come. Filters first album, Dose, was unexceptional save the Budd Dwyer-themed "Hey Man, Nice Shot." Their new album, Title of Record (Reprise), includes snatches of Beatle-esque psychedelia and actual melody beside the testosterone-laden aggro-industrial crunch. Bonus points if Filter and Crystal Method perform their collaboration "Trip Like I Do."
Sun., Oct. 3, First Union Center, 3601 Pattison Ave., 7 p.m., 215-336-2000. With Limp Bizkit, Filter, The Crystal Method, DMX and Staind.
