Soundbites

Roger LaMay, the former general manager of Fox Philadelphia who ended his 17-year stint with the TV station last month, may be ditching the unemployment rolls. Bigwigs at the University of Pennsylvania say that LaMay is one of the finalists for the general manager's spot at WXPN FM, the Ivy League's radio station found at 88.5 on the dial.

Laurie Doyle, vice president of communications at Penn who oversees WXPN, says that LaMay has not yet been made an offer, but he is being seriously considered.

"We've received over 30 resumés from around the country," Doyle says. "We're down to five or six finalists -- and LaMay is one of them -- but we won't decide for another few weeks."
