From the mind of Walter Latham, producer of The Kings of Comedy Tour, sumptin' wickedly funny comes this way. While D.L. Hughley headlines, the supporting cast of new comedic finds might be just as entertaining. From Def Comedy Jam's Earthquake to southern prankster and character-morpher Rickey Smiley (you know, Bernice and Coach McClainy), the bill is chock-full o' laughs. Then there's the sole homegirl, Trenton native Sommore, ripping it up like only a woman can. She's been dubbed Whoopi-meets-Joan Rivers, her biting sarcasm snagging her the Richard Pryor Award for Comic of the Year in '95 and a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the first comedienne to rock the 50,000-member crowd at the Georgia Dome. Oh yeah, Mr. D.L. Hughley, the headliner, was one of the Original Kings of Comedy and has recently bid adieu to his four-season-long show, The Hughleys. (As his show hit the syndication circuit, Damon Wayans' remarkably similar My Wife and Kids moved to the forefront. Hint, hint, biter.) And that's not all. Master of ceremonies and family-friendly funnyman Bruce Bruce is sure to keep it hysterical. With that, the bellyache squad is storming the Bastille; it's gut-busting comedy, humorous skits and hair-raising improv at its best. Come one, come all, hear the roar of the next wave as they leave you rolling in your seats. It's a massive funny bone attack.
