LL Cool J hails him as the Dr. Dre of drum and bass. In a town like Philly, where hip-hop and D&B rule the underground, a merger of the two genres can spawn an awesome response. On his latest double CD, Drum and Bass Warfare (Kaos Recordings/System Recordings), Liverpool's Adam F does just this. Disc one has him compiling some of the most infamous tracks on his Kaos label, remixes by some of the most untouchable D&B producers around, like Roni Size, Origin Unknown and Dillinja. Each track is doused with the lyrical strength of America's hip-hop elite such as Redman, MOP, LL Cool J, Pharoahe Monch, Lil' Mo and Capone-N-Noreaga. The second disc features DMC World Champion DJ Craze taking Adam F's track selection and tearin' it up with his undeniable mixing skills. It's a funked-up, cut 'n' scratch joyride where the mixes are smooth as butta. F and Craze have taken their deadly, genre-bending amalgamation on the road -- each dishing out an unforgettable DJ set. Of course expect some wondrous mixology on four turntables, but really, it's all about the tunes.
