No Show

John Stanton's No Show has been on the horizon for a while. The musically inclined comedy debuted, in part, at Fringe 2001 and popped up again at the Adrienne last year for three workshop performances. Finally, the Show has arrived. Shelli Pentimall and Keith Conallen star as sarcastically bitter not-quite-soul mates who stumble from high school to adulthood together, gradually falling out of what might not have been love in the first place. Funny, endearing and occasionally painfully honest, Stanton's script leads the duo bravely into well-charted but never over-explored territory. Having witnessed this play's gradual progress over the last couple of years, it should be a treat seeing No Show as a fully realized production.

No Show, May 2-9, $15, Playground at the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom St., 215-563-4330.
