Why does The Official Industry Launch Party cost $20 to get in and $50 for VIP treatment? OK, special invited NBA and NFL ballers, models and record labels make it cost so much, right? Well, we all know "special invited guest" doesn’t mean anybody will necessarily show up. You decide. Thu., June 19, 10 p.m.-2 a.m.. $20-$50, Ulana’s, Second and Bainbridge sts., 267-231-1768, digitaldiamond2002@yahoo.com.

While it's not exactly hip-hop, it is music-related and Beat Box-worthy! For women over the age of 18, now's your time to join hands, talk, bond and explore at Sister Sanctuary's Tea Party. Last month they discussed the exploitation of women in relationships. In honor of Black Music Month, the June meeting dishes on the "Representation of Women in Music." Now that's a subject that always sparks discussion. Herbal tea will be served (iced or hot). Sat., June 21, 1-3:30 p.m., $6 with your favorite flower, $7 without, bring three flowers and it's free, Govinda's Cultural Art Gallery and Café, 1408 South St., second floor, 215-235-9659, sisterssanctuary@aol.com . And after that, catch DJs Train, AdamBomb, Excel, Ced-One and Kwestion. Well, it might not be all of them, but at least two outta the bunch will be in effect each and every Saturday. Sat., June 21, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., $5, Filo’s, 408 S. Second St., 215-238-0151.

Once again, the monthly that bumps out them trunks, Beat Society, is back. Yes, upstairs at The Five Spot will become one big boomin’ system thanks to The Beatmakers: Square rep’n A Touch of Jazz on the MPC-3000, Eleet on the ASR-10, Mr. Len of Company Flow on the MPC-2000 and J. Rawls (yes, the fifth-grade elementary school teacher with the new album History’s Greatest Battles, Campaigns and Topics) on ASR-10 take over. Delivering their ever-so-short performances on the mic, its Schoolz of Thought (They’re still around? Yes, and they’ve got a new album, From Thought to Finish, and a website with approximately 500-plus hits, so go log on: www.schoolzofthought.com), iCON The Mic King (bringing the drama) and songstress Erika Hicks. The increasingly popular Ill Vibe Collective DJ Statik is holding down the wax with more T.B.A. And one last thing, this is the party with beats so hot, a speaker caught flame. Ouch. Know your exits. Wed., June 25, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., $5, The Five Spot. 5 S. Bank St., 215-574-0070. Umm, and there’s no dress code for all the folks who like to wear whatever they want, yeah boiiii!
