Rock the Mic Tour

This is the summer's monster with Mr. Nine Shots, 50 Cent (pictured), and Armadale Vodka CEO Jay-Z co-headlining. The big bill boasts the quintessential hip-hop superego battle while a formidable supporting cast -- singer/producer/rhyme-slinger and weight-loss queen Missy Elliot, the unshakable Busta Rhymes and New York's cornball number one, Fabolous (is it true his name is spelled wrong because he didn't know the correct spelling?) -- rounds out the show. Sure Jigga's S. Carter Collection kicks became the fastest-selling sneaker in Reebok's history, but 50's album is four times platinum and his own G-Unit Collection 'Boks are on the way this fall. Of course, both of those guys are notorious for their dull stage presence, so perhaps their stage-mobbing sidekick crews will fare better. Memphis Bleek and local Roc signees Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Young Chris and Neef will back Jay. And 50, he's got G-Unit on his side.

Cosponsored by who else? Reebok and Footlocker. This is cross marketing of the future now.

Thu., July 3, 6:30 p.m., $35-$45, Tweeter Center, Mickle Boulevard and Riverside Drive, Camden, N.J., 215-336-2000.
