More stuff going on this week...
Budding architects like gold-medal winner Karie Wong -- whose design for Wanchai, Vertical City, Hong Kong, is a wondrous use of space, land and water -- unveil their master plans as part of Drexel's department of architecture annual student exhibition. Reception Oct. 1, 5-7 p.m., runs Sept. 24-Oct. 17, Leonard Perlstein Gallery, Drexel University, 33rd and Market sts., 215-895-2548.
Nine faculty photographers from the fine arts department at the University of Pennsylvania show off their work this month. "Viewpoints" features the work of Bob Asman, Martin Drexler, Colette Copeland and the program's director, Becky Young. Through Oct. 5, Arthur Ross Gallery, 220 S. 34th St., 215-898-1479.
Brent Hartinger will read from his novel for teens, Geography Club (HarperCollins). Word has it it's being developed into a play, and perhaps even a movie. Sun., Sept. 21, 5:30 p.m., free, Giovanni's Room, 345 S. 12th St., 215-923-2960.
The Asian Arts Initiative and Mytili Jagannathan host a night of poetry and fiction, including the works of Sesshu Foster and Karen Tei Yamashita. Thu., Sept. 18, 6:30 p.m., free, Kelly Writers House, 3805 Locust Walk, 215-573-WRIT.
