Junior Senior

Rock/pop

The Danish duo Junior Senior's debut album, D-D-Don't Don't Stop The Beat (Crunchy Frog/Atlantic), is running neck and neck with the Basement Jaxx's Kish Kash and Miracle Chosuke's The 7/8 Wonders of the World for the "Most Fun Album of '03" title. (And the fact that there's more than one disc even attempting to triumph in this category should make the more dour listeners among us realize that this hasn't been such a bad year after all.) D-D-Don't Don't Stop is a big free skate through every booty-shaking genre put to wax -- from the boogie feverish first single "Move Your Feet" to the electro-gonzo "White Trash" -- not to mention that it indulges some of the most ribald gender-bending this side of Hedwig's angry inch. Spending Halloween dancing to the sounds of a couple of chameleonic, sexy-redefining Danish dudes -- well, doesn't it just sound like you'd be spending it with the spirit of the holiday itself?

Fri., Oct. 31, 10 p.m., $10, with Electric Six and The Inflatable Men, The North Star, 27th and Poplar sts., 215-684-0808.
