More stuff going on this week.
Three red-nosed clowns first break, then save, the universe in Pig Iron Theatre's Flop, a silent comedy of errors starring Nichole Canuso, Lee Etzold and the recently Barrymore-bestowed Emmanuelle Delpech-Ramey. Next up: its international premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe. Nov. 19-22, $15-$20, Christ Church Annex, 20 N. American St., 215-627-1883.
For better or worse, it will live forever -- but only in a very short run in Philly. Fame -- The Musical arrives as the second installment of the Kimmel's Broadway at the Academy series. Fri.-Sun., Nov. 14-16, $25-$85, The Academy of Music, Broad and Locust sts., 215-893-1999.
The New York Dance Exchange's Arthur Aviles, Mollie O'Brien and Victoria Libertore give several works their Philadelphia debut this weekend. Sat., Nov. 15, 8 p.m., $10, Community Education Center, 3500 Lancaster Ave., 215-387-1911.
Besides honoring Aryeh Lev Stollman with the new Chaim Potok Literary Award, the Jewish Book Festival is jam-packed with author appearances, including Rachel Simon, author of Riding the Bus with My Sister, and Jonathan Wilson, author of The Palestine Affair. Nov. 15-23 at various venues; for a full schedule of events visit www.phillyjcc.com or call 215-446-3003. (It's also Children's Book Week; visit www.cbcbooks.org for more information.)
Theater Catalyst's Jessica Graham wants to see some theater folks up at the "butt-crack of dawn," so TC and Vagabond Acting Troupe are throwing a flea market. Well, OK, it's a fundraiser, too. The two companies are putting tons of props, costumes and other tchotchkes up for sale, and Vagabond folks are planning fun and games as well. Sat., Nov. 15, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., The Playground at the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom St., 215-563-4330.
