Nice Balls

Glad to see Howard Altman still has his balls, and that they are still made of brass ["Jew Gotta Be Kidding," Pretzel Logic, Nov. 13, 2003]. Back in 2000, when I was in town covering the coronation of George W. for the NY Press, Altman astounded me with his exposé of the Dominican drug racket and its patrons in the U.S. government. I predicted that his cajones would be huevos rancheros for that effort. I am overjoyed to see that he persists, and even now tilts his lance at Foxman's atrocious little hate group, the ADL.

God bless you, Howard Altman. I'll see you in Amsterdam, after Ashcroft and the other ZioNazis who have taken over this grand and glorious former republic of ours have driven us out. I'll buy you a drink, and a joint of the finest bud the town has to offer.

A friend showed me your feisty piece on the ADL. I have to admit I'm shocked. Good for you, for speaking up and for telling us what really goes on. You forgot to mention the sex workers and the multiethnics. We, too, are proud to have a friend at City Paper who doesn't spy for the state or for anyone else.

Jews networking, keeping the espionage channels up and running 'round the clock. Let's hear some more bleating about "anti-Semitism" and "nobody loves us."

Big question: How come you and other Jewish columnists/talk-show participants/magazine writers, etc. never debunk the despicable lie about the number of Jewish people who were absent on 9/11? Every talk show, and I mean every talk show, invariably has some virulent anti-Semitic callers spouting the lies that not only were Jews forewarned, but that there were no Jews in the building at the time of the disaster. Particularly the Jewish Exponent, Barry Morrison, etc., who could publish the number of Jews actually killed or injured that morning, immediately erasing the big lies. How come, Howard? And how about you being the hero, as I am sure that information is available somewhere.

Street Bleat

Only in Philadelphia do people support a guy who gives all the business to his family and campaign contributors while shrugging his shoulders as the city continues losing people and jobs ["Street For Mayor," Slant, Oct. 30, 2003].

Only in Philadelphia do people complain about everything and then elect the same pack of losers to City Council who do nothing but keep the city in its rut year after year.

Why bother with the charade of elections in this city? Why not just let the current crop of City Council stay in office for as long as they want?

P.S. Now that his buddy got back in office with sympathy votes, perhaps Eddie Rendell can do the job he was elected to do: govern Pennsylvania.
