Michele Rundgren, NC-17 From A 34-C

When comedienne-commentator Michele Rundgren pulls off her one-woman blab-athon NC-17 From A 34-C, she won't just be onstage as a narcissistic stage-hungry wife longing for the fruits of her famous husband, Upper Darby's own Todd. Michele has been (or "has-been") in the business long before hooking up with the Wizard-True Star. When asked if she's naming names and dissing rock's gods in NC-17, Michele promises she will. "But you've gotta buy a ticket for that salacious information!"

Not only was she a trapeze artist and follies dancer throughout her native Pacific Northwest upbringing, she also danced and sang for an arms-long spate of Broadway musicals and as part of the Tubes -- the post-glam metal act who made famous the phrase (if not the song) "White Punks on Dope." Though she contributed to Paul Schaffer's World's Most Dangerous Band (when David Letterman was still on NBC), Michele also toured with her husband as a background vocalist. That is, until he moved her and the kids to their home in Hawaii. For one who toured as rigorously as she did for so long, you'd think she's be content to rest amongst the pineapple groves. Nope. "I guess I'm a born performer," says Michele. "I really missed performing. People ask me why I don't just sing in a band on Kauai, but I never wanted to be a backdrop for drinking, dancing and courting. I like to write a show and perform it as a show. And now that my kids are old enough to do their own laundry, I'm outta there! Only briefly, I promise!" It's not as if Michele's chilled from comedy to begin with -- she's the host of the public radio program, Chick Rock, Chick Talk -- a keen indicator of the bawdy naughtiness she'll bring to the stage. And what about Todd? Does she know that she and her husband will nearly cross paths, both playing Philadelphia within a week of each other? "How else can I get an audience? I have to steal them from him!"

Michele Rundgren, NC-17 From A 34-C, Fri., May 17, 7 and 9:30 p.m., $15, The Point, 880 W. Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr, 610-527-0988.
