It seems that everywhere you turn these days, a report has been published lamenting the college-grad population's steady bleed out of our city. But, issues of retention aside, the fact remains that Philadelphia is still a vibrant college town. Young people from all over the world come here to get an education and end up with their own unique impressions of the city. Photographer Dominic Episcopo teaches a fashion photography class at the University of the Arts, and City Paper had the opportunity to work with his students this past semester. As a culminating project, we asked each student to take a photo that answers the question: "What is Philadelphia style?" The answers were varied -- some were over-the-top and whimsical, some slyly witty, others serious and sincere. Our staff has selected four of those photos to present to you here.
