Knife or Death Fest

Punk/hardcore

They're back! Again! For only the third time since they broke up in the early '90s NYC straight-edge hardcore legends Youth of Today are reuniting, this time for the Knife or Death Fest (a weekend of shows right outside of Philadelphia in Fairless Hills). After first lighting the straight-edge torch in the '80s and '90s, they're back to prove the edge hasn't gone dull. That or maybe in this time of economic hardship their bank-account balances are in need of a little boost. Regardless, Youth of Today are bound to put on a great live show, as they did at those other two reunions. Knife or Death also boasts the reunited Mouthpiece and Suburban Hoods, old favorite Vision, and a crop of hardcore's actual youth of today, like Mental, Righteous Jams, Desperate Measures, Think I Care and Internal Affairs. Break out the Champion hooded sweatshirts, polish up your X Swatch and lace up your Jordans.

Fri., June 4, 5 p.m., $20, and Sat., June 5, 2 p.m., $25 ($35 for both days), Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2489, 920 Trenton Rd., Fairless Hills, www.knifeordeathrecords.com/fest.
