For nearly two years, producer and DJ dev79 has been putting on Current, a place to hear underground beats with a little electronic influence. This month he's pouring a double shot. Greek (pictured) packs his third solo CD, Smell My Talent (NOD Records), with the whacked-out lyrics the South Jersey MC is known for. Guests will have a chance to hear cuts off the album, and possibly snag a copy before its official release on Aug. 31. His partner in rhyme, Rummage, will also bring his latest effort, Obscure 88 Reference, which mixes an old-school feel with new revolutionary crazy-ass beats. Skratch Makaniks' DJ Kwestion, along with Jack Horner and EDK from NOD, will provide the backdrop music.
