Wanda At Large

Standup

James Brown may lay claim to the title "hardest-working man in show business," but Wanda Sykes is making quite a run for the distaff crown. As the host of Comedy Central's Wanda Does It, Sykes wears more hats than a balding hipster, running through menial and bizarre day jobs like Barbara Ehrenreich on Pixy Stix. Then there's the new book, Yeah, I Said It (Atria) and her current comedy tour, not to mention the effort of reminding people that Curb Your Enthusiasm isn't really a documentary. Chances are she has the smackdown of a lifetime waiting for anyone corny enough to yell out "Nice tush!" at tonight's Tower show.

Wanda Sykes, Thu., Nov. 4, 8 p.m., $32.50-$35.50, with Keith Robinson, Tower Theatre, 69th and Ludlow sts., 215-336-2000.
