They're calling it quits after three albums, but Stargazer Lily's too professional to just fuck off without a kiss goodbye. Their farewell show doubles as a retrospective and a CD release party: Starlazer Gilly, their less pop/more country incarnation, will open with songs from the new Big in Texas, and then the foursome will bring out special guests and video footage for a proper send-off. Stargazer Lily may have lost some of their bite with last year's Young Professionals, but let the record show they were ambitious till the very end. Though major-label machinations killed their momentum, they've remained one of this city's hardest-gigging bands. Steph Hayes and Susan Rosetti are bound to resurface soon enough it's impossible to imagine their voices out of harmony for long but for now they've got to implode.
