Get In The Ring

FLYING CIRCUS

You've seen Spider-Man use skyscrapers as stepping-stones and the 'roid-raging Incredible Hulk crush crime with his pinkie finger. But have you ever seen a Human Slinky? For two days only, the Florida-based, internationally minded Cole Bros. Circus will amaze and astound thee with its traveling summer show, "Super-Heroes of the Circus." The big top is headlined by living, leaping, licensed versions of the Marvel favorites, but their superpowers are dwarfed beside jaw-dropping contortionists, Chinese acrobatic troupes and dancing house cats. Also flown in from Europe and Asia to freak you out: the Living Candelabra, a duo that pretzels itself into tortuous positions, the pole-swinging Yan Dong Monkey Men and Russia's own Tetyana Synovyat, who'll be shot out of the world's largest cannon four acts in. And you thought Ringling was the greatest show on Earth.

Super-Heroes of the Circus, Mon., Aug. 15 and Tue., 16, 4:30 and 7:30 p.m., $15, Devon Horse Show Grounds, Route 30 and Lancaster Ave., 800-796-5672, www.colebroscircus.com.
