On the Skids
Every now and again a Web site crosses our desktop that we can't help but holler "Hell yeah!" about. This week, that site is www.skidstrong.com. The fine folks behind Skidstrong cycling gear and clothing created the brand to raise awareness and funds for the Bicycle Messenger Emergency Fund (www.bicyclemessenger.com). The nonprofit is devoted to providing assistance to injured bike messengersy' know, the guys and gals who risk life and limb to ensure your urgent parcel gets across town. Yes, they rip off Lance's Livestrong rubber bracelets, but they also offer jerseys, coffee, wheelsets, saddles and even a track bike (Skidstrong is a branch of Dayton, Ohio's Cycles Gaansari). A portion of each purchase goes to the relief fund, so buy a messenger bag (the one with the phat seat-belt strap) and clear your conscience of all those "very important rush jobs" you called in last year.
