Pleasure Quest

When Southwest Philadelphia sex space Pleasure Garden (61st Street and Passyunk Avenue) hosts its first-ever "Couples and Single Ladies" night on Feb. 25, there'll be a few things you must know, especially in the wake of Club Kama Sutra's closing. One, Pleasure Garden is now a "couples off-premise" space, claims the Garden in its e-mails. "This means that our members and guests can meet and greet anyone they like and if they want to have sex they just can't have it at our location," says one anonymous Garden source.

And why am I driving to Southwest Philly for this?

"Because at Pleasure Garden, we're licensed to have sex shows," comes the answer. "Professional performers with business privilege licenses from the city are having sex throughout the club." Three separate couples will begin their suck 'n' fuck in shower areas and small side stages after a group dinner and a performance by Philly's Hellcat Girls Burlesque.

"Garden members can neither be undressed nor touch the performers," claims my source. At present, the Garden is taking super-cautious baby steps. "The city has no idea how to deal, yet, with people having sex in clubs. So we'll have meet-and-greets and be the foreplay. Members can be in a safe, sexually charged environment and take it wherever they want afterwards — without worrying about L&I chasing them."

And will L&I show up?

"I think so."
