In an overload explosion of art, the 40th Street Community Arts Collective is presenting Strutting Our Stuff, a display of dance, music and poetry by local artists. The event, which gently tries to introduce dance-phobics to the world of leotards and bending over backward, is being held in honor of the 14th annual World Dance Day. Newbies should expect modern tricks from Anne-Marie Mulgrew and Dancers Co., breakdancing with Olive Dance Company, flamenco from Dolores Luis Gmitter and live poetry from Gweny Love, Frank Walsh, Miz Olivia and others. After cruising the showcase, stop by the tables stocked with info on the local arts scene and chat with some of the artists.
