Carlos Mencia knows he's offensive. The title of one of his specials even instructs those "easily offended" to steer clear. He says things like, "I say what everyone thinks, but is afraid to say out loud."
Truth is, Mencia's jokes are the same Latino, black, white and Asian jokes that comedians have been telling for decades. Just add topicality, like R. Kelly or Tom Cruise or wherever your finger lands as you do a blindfolded flip though Time magazine.
If you really, really miss the glory days of Paul Rodriguez's tedious bout with standup, pine for a dirty George Lopez who makes "racially charged" and "edgy" observations, or truly believe that Comedy Central didn't pull this guy out of voiceover land because they needed to fill a quota (did you know his name before the show aired?), then 60 smackers is probably a bargain.
