After listening to City Paper founder and editor emeritus Bruce Schimmel tell dubious stories about what Philly was like in 1981 (you really expect us to believe CP had a gardening column, Bruce? And people read it?), we have decided to perform a public service. We have designed a time capsule to be opened 25 years from now, hopefully by some CP staffer who's currently in diapers, that will help shed light on what Philly was about in 2006, and what signs of change we could detect already. We were thinking we would bury it in the floor of a casino.
