If you saw Siobhan Davies at 2005 Fringe, you know that when she says traditional proscenium stage presentations aren't her thing, she's not whistling Dixie; the British experimenter's troupe danced to the sound of bird calls. For her Bride performance, Davies brings In Plain Clothes, a dance created in collaboration with a heart surgeon, an architect, a landscape designer and a linguist all of whom bring, she says, "a method of expression which has not been within our realm before." With eight dancers/collaborators, Davies uses music by Italian experimental composer Matteo Fargion, who recently premiered a piece for three amplified cardboard boxes. Not sure we'll hear the boxes at the Bride though; his inspiration for Clothes is Italian folk songs.
