Published: Oct 25, 2006

WHAT:

Yoga for 3- to 6-year-olds

WHO:

Jeanne Hafner, Children's Education Coordinator

WHEN:

Every Tue., Oct. 24-Nov. 28, 4-4:45 p.m., $50-$60

WHERE:

Cheltenham Art Center, 439 Ashbourne Rd., Cheltenham, 215-379-4660

WHAT MAKES YOU SO SPECIAL:

"[Instructor Nanci George] actually incorporates some creative processes with her yoga classes, especially for the younger age groups," says Hafner. "Whether it's some sort of craft or a story workshop, something like that—it's not just yoga. [The children] love it ... it's a good way for them to blow off steam and channel their creativity. The 3- to 6-year-olds, they have a lot of energy, and it's all about channeling that energy into something creative rather than running around in circles."
