Sam Calagione, owner of Delaware's Dogfish Head Brewery, is fond of mixing peculiar ingredients (candied orange, smashed pumpkin, dark chocolate) into his signature brews. Bridget Foy's will feature Calagione's carbonated oddities at a four-course beer dinner. The menu includes curried pumpkin soup with toasted pumpkin seeds, crispy calamari salad with garlic chili vinaigrette, venison osso bucco with porcini risotto and chocolate banana layer cake. The dishes will be paired, of course, with Dogfish's Midas Golden Touch, which features hints of muskrat grapes and saffron, the citrus- and cedar-flavored 60 Minute IPA, the malty Indian Brown Ale and the sweet-rum-like World Wide Stout. Bridget Foy's, 200 South St., 215-922-1813.
Eileen Talanian, owner of An American Kitchen, will transform occasional nibblers into chocolatiers through a morning of intensive dessert baking. Believing that "butter is better," the chef will whip up chocolate truffles, "Death by Chocolate" brownies, a rich cocoa-mocha sauce, double-chocolate bread pudding and peppermint bark, a seasonal favorite. Shipley Upper School, 814 Yarrow St., Bryn Mawr, 610-649-9290.

Cork Restaurant, 90 Haddon Ave., Westmont, N.J., 856-833-9800.

The beer list includes Ayinger Brau-Weisse, Wurzburger "Julius Echter" Dunkel-Weisse, Bitburger Pilsner, Kostritzer Schwarzbier, Pinkus Alt and Paulaner "Salvator" Doppelbock.
