Together with the ladies of Montazh Performing Arts Company, design and marketing firm Allstar Collective is putting a fresh twist on the bohemian flea market.
More than 20 vendors will take over a dance co-op loft in North Philly, selling original art, vintage clothing and random household items. "I really wanted to give people an inexpensive way to showcase their stuff, get rid of goods and have a good time," says Allstar's Stacey Wilson, who will be showcasing prints and originals.
One of the vendors is Hasnaa from Birds of a Feather earrings.
"I'm getting ready to expand my collection, which will now include necklaces and hair accessories, so there will be a few of them on hand," she says.
It's not all about spending your dough, though: There will be a raffle for the Boys and Girls Club of Germantown, and you could walk away with anywhere from $50 to $200 in cash.
In between browsing and buying, DJ Mike Nyce will spin everything from hip-hop to soul. Take note that this is a BYOB event, which means drinks will be flowing throughout. Go aheadget your swerve, shop and dance on.
