Aww ... our little Bowerbird's all grown up. Hard to believe, but Philly's fledgling experimental-music presenter is one year old already, and just look at how the cute li'l bugger has grown. Seems like only yesterday that Dustin Hurt was a one-man operation, trying to cram upright basses and tables full of electronic rigmarole into tiny, makeshift spaces. Now that he's gathered something of a collective around himself, the scene is thriving, and crowds have overfilled the upscale Society Hill confines of historic homes like the Physick House. Friday's show celebrates how far Bowerbird has come with a triple feature that doesn't bother looking back. Local guitar/electronics manipulator Tim Albro kicks off the evening, followed by Boston trumpeter Forbes Graham. Finally, Switzerland's Jason Kahn and Milwaukee's Jon Mueller meld their cold-weather-tolerant percussion/electronics techniques. If that ain't enough to bring you out, you can spend the pre-show reception fighting hungry young improvisers for free food.

Fri., March 9, reception 7 p.m., concert 8 p.m., free, Powel House, 244 S. Third St., www.bowerbird.org.
