After conducting extensive research and developing characters from actual fossil skeletons, the Renaissance Artist Puppet Company has produced an interactive puppet show that uses slice-of-life situations a Pakicetus looking for grub, a Basilosaurus sunbathing to illustrate the evolutionary tree of toothed whales and dolphins, aka cetaceans. With puppets as tall as 12 feet, Renaissance makes the audience part of the show. You don't have any lines, but you might want to practice being oceanlike. Ages 5 and up.

The Harlem Globetrotters' humorous antics are surefire crowd-pleasers, but with more than 22,200 wins in its 80-year history, the team definitely knows how to play ball, too. After watching the adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's 19th-century book, little ones can meet their favorite characters and enjoy snacks. Ages 3 and up.
