Main Event: After a snappy 2006 premiere, Belles of Dublin returns to the Society Hill Playhouse for another weekend of Irish music and theater. The three-woman show combines hilarious, irreverent tales of unsuccessful love and revenge with traditional Irish music. As creator Polly MacIntyre delivers less-than-romantic monologues adapted from Irish literature, singer Kim Robson and harpist Sarah Claire Williams interrupt with quirky musical interludes. "They let people drink in the theater, so it's very festive," says MacIntyre. Cheers, ladies. Fri.-Sat., March 16-17, 7:30 p.m.; Sun., March 18, 6:30 p.m., $20-$23, The Red Room at Society Hill Playhouse, 507 S. Eighth St., 215-923-0210, www.societyhillplayhouse.com.
Drinks: Forget the green Miller Lite. The folks at Fadó pull one of the most respectable pints of Guinness this side of the Atlantic. (They even make it into ice cream!) For some festive munchies, check out the Celtic chicken curry, corned beef and cabbage boxty or potato crisp nachos. Complete with a fantasy football league (soccer, for you Yanks) and authentic pinch-my-cheeks accents, this cozy joint does St. Paddy right. 1500 Locust St., 215-893-9700, www.fadoirishpub.com.
The Morning After: Round two starts early this weekend. Luckily, Plough and the Stars serves an Irish-inspired brunch that makes getting out of bed easy. After potato pancakes, Irish Oak smoked salmon and homemade soda bread, you'll be ready for the mimosas. 123 Chestnut St., 215-733-0300, www.ploughstars.com.
