Before Justin, there was Joey. As the youngest member of New Kids on the Block (NKOTB, for those of you who're down), Joey McIntyre and his dreamy blue eyes were splashed across everything from magazine covers to pillowcases. The boybander has since kept busy with a solo career, a spot on Dancing With the Stars and a starring role in Broadway's Wicked. His latest album, Talk to Me, is a new take on oldies such as "My Funny Valentine" and "The Way You Look Tonight." "I'm excited about this," he says. "These are the songs I've been waiting to make." Oh, Joey Mac you had me at "Be My Girl."
New Kid on Our Block: "One of my best friends lives in Philly, but I don't really know my way around, you know what I mean? But I'm excited to be here. I'm from Boston, so it's like, Boston, New York or Philly ... you know people won't steer you wrong."
The Right Stuff: "Years ago, when I came to Philly, we went to this great soul food joint. It was really homey well, it was kind of in the 'hood. But it was the best soul food I've ever had."
Hangin' Tough: "I'm not one to be afraid of an audience. I try to make a connection, and it's cool as long as people are having fun. [NKOTB] played at the Spectrum and I've done a lot of arenas, so I'm looking forward to connecting in a more intimate space."
