Tiffany Granath

Right now I'm totally obsessed with Sirius Radio's Playboy channel show Tiffany Granath's Afternoon Advice. Basically, it's a raunchy talk show where people (mostly truckers) call in to get love, romance and sex advice from Tiffany Granath. She has guests on every show, too, who are usually psychics, numerologists or people who have written books on relationships. Luckily, the guys in my band are amazingly tolerant and they'll let me listen for three hours every day.
Niecy Nash
|
I'm really into the Style Network's Clean House. The show's hostess with the mostest is Niecy Nash. Maybe it's because I just moved into a new house and I'm living among a mountain of boxes, but I can't seem to get enough of this show. In a nutshell, Nash and her team of designers and professional organizers come to the rescue of L.A. homeowners living in chaos. Nash does her best to identify what brought these poor folks to such bedlam, but basically the team sweeps in and transforms their madness into domestic bliss. For me this truly trumps all those pesky do-it-yourself home improvement shows, because face it, true nirvana is when someone steps in and does the work for you!
The Future
|
Whatever your perception of the future may be, we all have one thing in common: You can only ever imagine it. I imagine 2012 coming and going, like 1996 and 2000; Edgar Cayce's prophecies becoming even more popular than they are today; the discovery of life on other planets; caged human food pellets; lots more vaccinations in larger dosages and varieties; and robots. Yes. Lots of robots for all of the dirty work. I imagine an even greater struggle against oppression than revolutions of the past, and a total chaos in the global market. Let's hope so. I'm optimistic.
Packaging
Did you know that the color red makes you hungry? You see something red and you're more likely to buy food. Purple exerts a calming influence and can help sell antidepressants. There are people who know this stuff and make it a science. They devote their lives to finding out which colors and shapes and words will make you want things that you don't need. These are the people who package your food, which is why I always stop to read the back of a box of cereal or the writing on a case of beer. It's like cracking a code. I want to know how they got inside my head.
