You can't get wetter than right on the water. This vessel meanders along the Delaware as on-board guests dig into a cruiselike buffet. Schedule a breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or moonlight sail and take the scenery with you as you go.
Waterfront dining doesn't always mean looking out over a muddy river or stagnant lake. The cool rush of the Four Seasons' Swann Fountain makes all the reservation finagling worth the trouble. The theme even creeps onto the menu with some of the Fountain's opulent seafood dishes — swoon over the red snapper with crab or lobster with blood orange.
If you're a landlubber who enjoys admiring agua from a distance, the upstairs bar at Friday Saturday Sunday is for you. The space gets its light from a large tank filled with strangely serene fish — so calm, perhaps, because they're not on the menu.
If water, water everywhere suits you best, dive into the Feeding Frenzy Café. Aside from kid-friendly grub (PB&J, Dippin' Dots, etc.), the big family draw is eating within spitting distance of the Delaware on one side and splashy exhibits on the other.
Snuggled up next to Wissahickon Creek, this inn is all charming country decor, slow-moving mallards and quick-winged bugs creating ripples on the water. The classic menu's upscale comfort food — pretzel-crusted pork chops, anyone? — changes with the seasons.
