Dance/visual art/fundraiser
As Philly rounds out its first AIDS education month, the local collective of artists and intellectuals known as Fine Print want to celebrate with a dance and music party that also dubs as a fundraiser for AIDS coalition, ACT UP. Providing the sound will be funky fresh DJ Rich Medina. For those not familiar, Philly's native son keeps dancefloors packed across the globe with his mix of soul, classic hip-hop and afrobeat. Meanwhile. Master Jay conducts a house style dance workshop and painter Joshua Mays shows off some of his work — and constructs a live piece on-site to be auctioned off. Sure to keep the night centered on HIV and AIDS, various organizations will be on hand with literature and free condoms. Go ahead and get down with the get down for a good cause.
