Cap off the end of summer Swede style at this cultural celebration, with plenty of native drinking songs and plates of crayfish cooked in salt water and topped with lots of dill. You can also don a crayfish-themed paper hat and bib (see left) and enjoy roast beef, potato salad, cheese and dessert. The block of Walnut between Broad and 15th will be closed to traffic for this grilling block party hosted by the Bellevue. DJ Razor will spin while you dig into made-to-order steaks and other fare at street grills set up by The Palm, Capital Grille, Ted's Montana Grill and XIX, who will also provide the drinks. Alison at Blue Bell proprietor Alison Barshak is teaming up with Andrew Schloss, author of Mastering the Grill (Chronicle Books), to create a menu including Thai coconut swordfish kebabs; bacon-wrapped spicy brown sugar quail stuffed with cheese grits; and grilled gingerbread with honey-glazed peaches. Brian Freedman of the Wine School will also be on hand to pair the dishes with wines and beers, marking the launch of A@BB's beer list. Enjoy it all on the outdoor patio. Reservations recommended. Drinks and food are on Deuce at this two-year anniversary party that doubles as a celebration of new chef Gregory Ling. Grab a mojito from the open Bacardi Bar and sample dishes from the new fall menu like the Big Ass Twice Baked Potato — a 2-pound tater stuffed with applewood bacon and three types of cheese.
