  • FLAMENCO DEL ENCUENTRO This traditional flamenco cuadro led by guitarist Tito Rubio features vocals by Antonia Arias and percussion by Joseph Tayoun.   • THE HIDDEN RIVER PROJECT This free, public event conceived by Anne-Marie Mulgrew and Dancers Company features six vignettes — music, dance, visual art and spoken word — performed by 15 local dancers. The pieces are completed by music by Juilliard-trained guitarist Keith Calmes and projected images by photographer Stan Sadowski.   • CHESS, THE MUSICAL This musical by Tim Rice is the story of a love triangle between two chess players, one American and one Russian, and the woman who manages one but falls in love with the other.   • DO LORD, REMEMBER ME During the Great Depression, FDR commissioned writers to interview the last generation of Americans who had once lived as slaves. For this play, dramatist James de Jongh adapted the actual interviews and combined them with spirituals. Directed by Thom Wilkins.   • IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY It's three days before Christmas in a London hospital, and Dr. David Mortimore just wants to perfect the lecture that could lead to his knighthood. But events spin wildly beyond his control in this madcap British farce, the sixth in Hedgerow's annual series of Ray Cooney slapsticks. Directed by Andrew Chown and Penelope Reed.   • SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS The Collaborative Act Studio presents this drama, adapted from William Inge and Elia Kazan's award-winning film. It follows Deanie and Bud, two Kansas teenagers in love in 1928. The stock market crash of 1929 only complicates their doomed love.   • TAPE In Stephen Belber's drama (which was made into a film starring Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman), three friends from high school reunite in a dank motel room and gradually uncover the secrets of their pasts.   • WICKED: THE UNTOLD STORY OF THE WITCHES OF OZ This musical based on Gregory Maguire's novel tells an alternate history of the land of Oz before Dorothy started stealing shoes and dropping houses. Elphaba, the eventual Wicked Witch of the West, is just a misunderstood teenager, and the Wizard ain't so wonderful after all.
