Etsy Green and Clean Guild Trunk Show

Published: Aug 28, 2007

Fri., Aug. 31, 6-8 p.m., free, Etsy Labs, 325 Gold St., 6th Floor, Brooklyn, N.Y., 718-855-7955, www.etsy.com

Paper Doll Trashion, Jungle Sweat and Burn, Bite and Backstab: These are just some of the feisty fragrances offered by Diana Rajchel's Magickal Realism on DIY hotspot Etsy.com. Rajchel, a member of the Web site's eco-savvy herb crafters and soap makers' union, Etsy Green and Clean Guild (EGCG), will join other bath and body mavens for a Brooklyn spa sale.

Although the products offered by EGCG are enviro-friendly, they don't skimp on the frills of more mainstream brands. Look for tasty treats from Fort Lauderdale's Lollibomb Beauty, a vegan bathing and cosmetic line that doesn't use any animal products to play up your pretty. Their pineapple upside down cake whipped body frosting and fizzy pumpkin bath cookies are as sweet as you can get without bathing in actual cake batter. (You know you've thought about it.) Each merchant — including edgy makeup designer Coffin Color, sugary soap baker Martinsville Emporium and bath salter Xiane — will be available for meet-and-greets and have goodie bags packed with never-before-released samples for the first 100 shoppers.

So what are we sniffing while in NYC? Rajchel's "Sex and Politics" sounds like a scandalous start. "It's a sexy, cloven-laden scent that's definitely an unusual fragrance," she says of her new perfume.
