What do authentic Gaucho chefs wear whilst carving your sirloin tableside? Gaucho pants, of course, which are belted high on the waist with an impressive buckle. Paired with a collared button-down shirt and a tidy neckerchief, the cutting-edge staff's duds at the Brazilian churrascaria always look sharp.
Not only do they get paid to watch cartoons and bowl up Cap'n Crunch with Reese's Pieces, the Cerealogists at Cereality get to wear PJs while they're at it. While you can't sleep on the job in the soft blue cotton nightshirts and matching lounge pants, rolling out of bed and going straight to work must be easy like Sunday morning.
The choices for sandwich fillings here may seem endless, but the staff uniform is limited to a plain-ish Pit tee or the one with all the extra cheese — the one that quotes Mr. T himself ("I Pita Da Fool"). The design is a drawing of a pita sandwich that resembles everyone's favorite A-Team character/Rocky opponent.
Gotta feed the tourists. Why not please 'em, too, with colonial chic? The fashion revolution pretty much stops here. Waitstaff at the open-forever City Tavern are fitted in 18th-century garb, bonnets, knickers, ruffly shirts and all. We bet it gets really hot in that kitchen.
You can spot TJ's personnel a mile away thanks to their garish Hawaiian shirts. But the bunch is hardly on vacation in the tropics, and chances are you won't catch them throwing luaus outside of work anytime soon. At least they don't have to wear leis and greet customers with a hearty "Hele mai!"
