Not since peanut butter met chocolate has candy known a partner as sweet as fashion. Candyland, a runway show featuring local designers, celebrates the yummy couple with colorful threads and flashy accessories.

Although candy imagery will inspire the night, don't expect many similarities between collections. James and Gregory Labold of Labold Brothers Ink are bringing their usual: vibrant, trippy T-shirts based on their own prints, installations and drawings. Delicious is skipping the sugar for spice with their signature denim and camo corsets for a fall feel. The NoLibs boutique is, however, planning to include some brighter offerings by Betsey Johnson and Stop Staring. As if it all weren't Wonka enough, MAC is providing the makeup.
Perhaps most comfortable in the sugary show is Old City's go-to shop for all that is sparkly and Audrey-approved. Smak Parlour is pulling out plenty of pink as well as a new collection of silk dresses. In addition to fall styles, look for spring previews, including a yellow gingham dress. "Girly, fun, colorful stuff — that's what we're going for," says co-owner and designer Abby Kessler.
