Leslie Hall, the big-boned Iowa gal who wooed YouTubers with her gallery of old-lady gem sweaters, has outgrown the Web. "The Internet is like a pair of pants that I'm too big for now," she says. "I'm ready to perform on celebrity cruise carnivals. I want to put implants of myself into people's minds."
The bedazzling queen isn't just talkin' trash. At JK LOL, a dance party hosted by the ubiquitous Oh My Todd!, she'll freestyle about zombie killers in tracks off her white-girl rap album, Door Man's Daughter. When Hall says her performance will be more amazing than the Spice Girls reunion tour, we're inclined to believe the woman who sports a '70s mom bouffant and Mary-Kate glasses. Other wacky performers include Philly's Lot Six, an electro girl group who sing about Darlene from Roseanne; Oh Murder! Inc., a local troupe of adorable, indie lady DJs; and DJ RMT, one-half of disco rockers SuperToddBros.
Of course, the real highlight of the evening will be what Hall describes as a "wardrobe malfunction with lots of Velcro involved." Like it or not, we predict her online celebrity days are far from over.
