Winners losers brawlers boozers: That doesn't just describe this season's Eagles or the Comcast goofs who think a PhillyLive can ever replace the Spectrum (the Plexiglas-encased press section I've drunkenly leaned on; the backstage we Luminol-ed for the sperm Rod Stewart had pumped from his guts). That describes — proudly — Broomhall-expat, ex-Eagle-106-FM host Danny Bonaduce. He'll prove he's afraid of no man Jan. 19 at Damon Feldman's Marple Sports Arena boxing jawn (800-677-TIXX) when he takes on Justice from Wired 96.5 FM. Bonaduce (160 pounds, 5 foot 6) loves hand-to-hand combat because, simply put, his nonfighting shape usually trumps somebody in tip-top condition. "Because I'm harder than most," says Bonaduce. "I'm not trying to sound tough. I just learned the hard way." Bonaduce loves that some radio jock would want to fight him. "I couldn't have more respect for him. I'm going to be as polite as can be until we walk into the ring. [And] the second they cart him off on a stretcher, I'll be the first guy to send him flowers." For more of his repartee, see citypaper.net/nakedcity.
► Between the Vels' Chris Larkin's memorial and James Suggs' candlelit The Sea (through Jan. 19), Old Swedes' Church is my fave new pop-perf venue. With gravestones. Stay tuned to see which promoter/booker gets Gloria'd regularly.
► While we dig Electric Factory Concerts offering $19.68-priced-tix to celebrate its 40th anniversary, we see, too, that R5's Sean Agnew and the Barbary's John Redden did what they told me: Booked all-age shows starting in March. "Two/three a month for now," says Agnew. Does this mean fewer all-age First Unitarian Church shows? "If anything [we'll do] less Johnny Brenda's shows." Barbary will host the tiny shows Agnew could never do at the Church.
► Sure, Duckumentary-an/comic Richie Redding promises "oh-it'll-be-rowdy" when he hosts a new Sunday burlesque at B.Someday's Walking Fish in Port Fishington Jan. 21. But with Peek-a-Boo's Ann Atomic and Heather Boa there, Richie's got no idea how rrrowdy.
► Del Frisco's steaks ready for the Grande at 15th and Chestnut? Soon.
► WHOWHATWHERE: The real Ozzy Osbourne, not the fake prank Kidd Chris one, stayed at the Ritz-Carlton. Singing fighter Joe Frazier got his b-day cake (ate it, too) at Big Dog. That was Fiume bartender Emily Farrell hiding out at the Troc with Charlemagne, the Brooklyn/Philly noisemakers she's now one of. That was Philly-electro-lyte Andrew Ryan (Vertebrae) and the Borah sisters (Chetana, Darshana) hiding out in the Indio-break-beat grooves of Ravens:and:Vultures at Johnny Brenda's. May's "Dancing with Celebrities" at Gershman Y features only two "celebs" I like out of the broadcasters from WMMR (Kathy Romano, Matt Cord), CN8 (Connie Colla, Greg Coy), NBC 10 (Lori Wilson, Jamison Uhler), Fox 29 (Kerri-Lee Halkett, Bolaris!), Comcast SportsNet (Leslie Gudel, Neil Hartman). Guess who? Were y'all so entranced by The New York Times' Fishtown tale that you missed a mo-money/mo-problems take on Philly's Scott Storch tax/lease woes in Miami (pagesix.com/story/unpaid+bills)?
► Speaking of meatballs, London Grill and chef/co-owner Michael McNally starts 2008 Meatball Mondays Jan. 21 with yum-stuff like their Moroccan Tuna Balls with Tomato Jam that got raved in Bon Appetit mag. Atza nize.
► Before filmmaker Jena Serbu takes another step toward Drunken Spelling Bee-dom (Balcony, Jan. 21; Bob & Barbara's, Feb. 4), she's introducing aspiring actors to NYC-turned-Philly producer Larry Meistrich, who thinks you should get your head shots onto his nehst.com and screentest.biz.
► Film biz: CP scribe/director Mary Patel didn't screen her poli-doc Electile Dysfunction at Sundance this week. She's there with associate producer Lance Simmens (he got her interviews with Elliott Gould and Ed Asner; he's the guy she formed Sir Lancelot Productions LLC with) and Mark Webber, the Philly guy who filmed Explicit Ills with his pregnant girlfriend, Frankie Shaw, here (he'll edit at Shooters this month). While Patel parties with Webber — up for a Grand Jury Award for The Good Dick — she'll talk up Simmens' script for Sagging Fortunes (about his time as a SAG lobbyist) for which she's executive producer. Names like Harvey Weinstein and Peter Bogdanovich are kicking around that one.
► If you don't know Manhattan hairstylist Alex Molchadskiy, you're bald, fucko. Check Jan. 17 when Al-Mo (recently at Ritt-Square's Studio CL) and Baliage colorist Megan Reilly open his AMS Salon and Lounge on South 16th.
► PAWS, the donation-fueled division of Philly's Animal Care Association, opens its adoption center dog house at Second and Arch, Jan. 17, with an open house from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Go there. Pay in for a pooch or a pussy. Get info on Philly Style mag's benefit Dinner with Style Jan. 21 (Hyatt Penn's Landing), where cash goes to our local Animal Welfare Society (phillypaws.org).
► While we wait to see if Kimmel Center booking peeps take control of the Merriam Theater and sadness at that fall of the house of Spectrum (I can't get this out of my head — Grand Funk Railroad's legendary fuck-fest; frigging Ice Capades, too!), we caught word that Marvin Finkelstein's PhilaDeli is closing in February. Thirty-two years of bagels 'n' whitefish, gone. Sob.
