What Makes You So Special:

Sometimes, makeovers are as simple as putting on your auburn beehive wig and walking out the door. At least that's what Wear Your Wig to Work Day founder and Mano/Damno member Gabrielle Revlock believes. "It started because I found myself charmed and attracted by the transformative power of wigs," she says. "I wanted to give [people] an opportunity to play and ponder their identity through this temporary physical manipulation. Ask yourself, 'What is the meaning behind Wig Day?' and 'How do I feel about wearing a wig to work?' The holiday is especially unique because Wig Day promotes newness and exploration from within a form that's about tradition and ritual."
