Intense sibling rivalry often racks up an impressive therapy tab, but every so often it inspires a business plan. Although they've competed for "space, energy and attention" since 1982, brothers Gregory and James Labold have managed to channel their energies into artsy T-shirts, hoodies and hats. With host Eric Connor and DJ Darrel Asbury, the boys will present their recent clashes and collaborations at a fashion show featuring local models.
With cave drawings, space travel and UFOs as their primary muses, the Labolds describe their new line as "extra-aboriginal." In one design, a primitive creature looks adoringly upon a spaceship and its occupants, aliens complete with wings and halos. The real trick, however, is how the brothers marry these fantastical, extraterrestrial images with colorful urban styles. "We are the urban element, but we are torn, twisted and inspired by the tribal side," says Gregory.
