Whether it was during a daydream or a sleepless night, we've all taken time to think about what happens after death. Some rely on Sunday school and childhood teachings; others are content with taking a pretty permanent dirt nap. Then there are those in between who think that there's probably something going on when life wraps up. Spiritual counselor, astrologist and healer Djuna Wojton (pictured) invites this undecided group out to Germ Books & Gallery to explore the age-old question: "Is there life after death?"
During a lecture and discussion, Wojton will approach afterlife possibilities by examining beliefs found in Buddhism, Hinduism, science-based religions and in the more spiritual world that she personally believes in. According to Wojton, we view our outer world with our five senses, but our inner world is discovered through a set of psychic senses. She will address how to connect to a new world of spirits, and encourages attendees to come with an open mind.
While thinking about your own demise isn't usually uplifting, Wojton brings plenty of light to the topic. "When you connect with the spirit world, you really connect with this greater energy so that you never feel that you're alone," she says. "You feel totally interconnected to everyone and everything and there is a great feeling of empowerment in that process."
