Time flies when you're in a great pair of vintage pumps. Although it seems like only yesterday that we first climbed the stairs to Topstitch, the Old City boutique and gallery space has been feeding our cocktail-ring addiction for a year now. In celebration of one very stylish debut, Topstitch cordially invites you to its first birthday party. While chances of a Disney cake look slim, music will be provided by Mr Cedism and cocktails are on the menu. Of course, we're mostly interested in the party favors: a half-off sale rack and 25 percent off all vintage threads and selected jewelry, including pieces by Rabid Fox. Additionally, festivities coincide with the First Friday opening of Everything All at Once, a collection of drawings by local artist Christine Jones.

Just as Topstitch's first year saw some significant changes (they now carry men's clothing and accessories), 2008 will be anything but same-old. A fashion show is slated for May, and new spring merch includes pieces by Love Illuminati and Sara Gunderson. "Since it's a new business, we've been rolling with the punches," says manager, curator and designer Tina Nguyen. "We're just seeing what works for us."
