The Mummers had their day and the rest had their chance. Philly Madness is back — with an entirely new field of competitors. And this time it's personal. At least for the match-ups involving people. Last year, we fielded 76 individuals (download your bracket here), groups, places and things for a tournament to determine who or what best represents this city. Unattractiveness surveys be damned, we don't care what other people think. So let's keep it in the family. It's on you to choose who's quintessential Philly. Warts and all. Before institutions and intangibles face off against the finest of Philly's flesh and blood, some scores need to be settled: first-round rivalries, feuds and duels. This is Philly. It's ugly and it's gonna get uglier. So do everyone a favor and go to citypaper.net/phillymadness and vote your hideous little faces off.
