Professor Street Says

Actual excerpts from the former mayor's class at Temple.

Published: Mar 5, 2008

On his decision against building the Phillies stadium in Chinatown: "I'm going to tell you why it didn't go downtown. ... I was in a meeting with a bunch of people, largely Asian-Americans in the Chinatown area ... and there was a lady there who started crying, and she said, 'You just can't do this to our community!' ... And I was supposed to go to a meeting because I was one of the co-recipients of the Philadelphia Award with the owner of Comcast, Ralph Roberts ... and I'm sitting there and this lady is crying and they don't want to leave and I can't leave and I wanted to just say 'I gotta go.' So what I said was, 'OK, we won't do it.'"

You need to get a life and let Mayor Street enjoy his post mayoral life in peace!!!!!!! I don't understand why people in this city have so much HATE for the man. Perhaps if we focus more energy on other things, it might benefit our city. What a waste of time.
