Blitz Blonde, Mod Metal, Dark Denim, Electric Envy: These are just a few of the sassy eye shadows from Red Letter Girl Cosmetics' debut collection, Chromatose. Started by Philly's own Josie "Outlaw" DiCarlo, the new animal-friendly makeup line is for ladies who want much more than their lip gloss to pop. "I love using cosmetics as a form of expression," says DiCarlo, who is also the keyboardist of dancehall rockers the A.K.A.s. Discouraged by clueless corporate outfits marketing edgy looks, the DIY queen (who also has a handy background in fashion and cosmetology) decided to whip up her own metallic shadows with genuine attitude. "I created this line for like-minded ladies who love to express themselves and stand out," she says. "I was ready to start my own company and give the people that I am around on tour something created by someone they can relate to."
